Mary Lou's Story
To My Friends, here is a short story of my life:
I Married Dale Shillings in 1969 and we lived in Groves for a few years, and then moved to Houston where we spent 21 wonderful years together with our daughter (Tandy). Dale is an Engineer and worked for Stone and Webster, I was working with Shell Oil in there Research and Development Department. We moved to Granbury TX, where I went to work at the Glen Rose Nuclear plant as an Engineer assistant. Our marriage ended and we went our separate ways, and I met my second husband who was an Electrician, we moved to California, and lived in Santa Ynez on a 20 acre ranch. "That is when I got into Horses, I had 3, and we owned 1 Racehorse. Roy started traveling to Africa, Columbia, Egypt with his job, but I owned 2 businesses while living in CA, one was a Graphic Design and had 2 partners in the business, I was the Marketing Director and the business became very successful. I eventually sold my shares and went to work for one of our clients who owned Immigration Company, i1 year later I was a partn...Expand for more
er with the company and I became the Operations Manager. We stayed in California till 1999 and we decided we wanted to move close to my daughter and grandkids in Idaho Falls. So we purchased a 40 acres Ranch and Roy still traveled and I learned how to run a Ranch, we now owned 10 horses and grew Hay, and raised cattle. Wow, what a great life. I was retired and ran a boarding stable where I had hired several people to help with the stalls, irrigating and cattle hands. But all good things must come to an end...unfortunately Roy met a very young Indonesian girl while on a job in Indonesia, and our marriage and life fell apart in 2003. So now I am single and finally moved back to Texas and work in corporate America with JPMorgan Chase as a Supervisor II in the mortgage department. I have now been single for 8 years and love every minute of it. I am married to my career and my best friend Doc (English springer spaniel) who is now 14 years old is my companion and loves me unconditionally. If you want to know more, you need to contact me and
